Post CanCon Post

What a weekend! We’ve got a lot of work to do this week with website updates, planning for next months document releases, and hopefully geting the Collective of Arton preview card out to backers this evening.

We really appreciate everyone coming past to take a look, have a demo, or just say hi this weekend. We especially want to highlight the Patreon backers here too, who are one of the main income streams for the game. Whatever funds you are putting towards Dare Games Oz each month go towards developing that future content, and getting our models on the tables sooner.

February will see the release of the tournament and league guides, so hopefully that will give everyone more ways to play, but in the meantime remember that the match guide is available on the website www.daregames.com.au, and get those dice rolling!

As always, for love of the game.

Rules free to download!

While we’re at CanCon this weekend we’re hoping to see a lot of familiar and new faces and show everyone the fun we’ve been having with Mecha Strike Arena.

To make things even easier, we’ve added the full rule document to the downloads page for everyone to access! It’s a nice, shiny, colourful PDF of the full rules, including an appendix on how to layout and read cards.

For anyone who catches us and dares to enter the arena, we’d also like to point out the keyword search page, where you can look up every keyword on every card (and a few that haven’t been used yet). During our recent tournament play we found it invaluable to be able to quickly grab our mobile phones, type in the keyword and hit enter, and grab the game text. It’s a great page to bookmark.

We hope to see you at CanCon, where we’re previewing some concept 3d prints of the MAT-AT that have been gorgeously painted, and introduce as many people as possible to the universe we have built.

Keyword searching!

Thanks to a nifty little plugin that took me far too long to find, we now have a Keyword Search page!

You can search every keyword currently live in the game, and some that aren’t currently on cards that might give you a hint of what’s to come. You can also search through every keyword.

Searching is going to make games on the fly a lot easier, I suggest bookmarking the page on your mobile.

Thanks for coming!

Demron Crusher & Vzkor Battlesuit

Two Mecha Frames have hit the website this evenint, the Demron Industrial Crusher and the Vzkor Battlesuit.

Both Walkers, the Crusher is the Largest Mecha to hit the Arena, while the Battlesuit is almost the smallest.

As always the Demron Frame has Muscle 3  to bring some heavy melee strikes for martially adept pilots, while the Vzkor Battlesuit requires a bit of finesse and planning to use effectively.

Take a look and get ready for them both in the card decks, coming to the webstore in the first few weeks of December.

MAT-AT spotlight

Good afternoon everyone, todays update is the MAT-AT, our smallest and lightest Rover Mecha, and the first to be heading towards 3d production.

Hit the link and take a look, and over the coming weeks we’ll add more detailed entries to our Mecha page on other Frames.

Sunday updates

Morning all!

You may have noticed we now have a store section up top. For now, I’m sorry to say it’s empty, but we’ll soon be adding physical cards, bases, template sets, and once produced our own models will be bought through this store.

In other news, please remember to check out our Patreon for the full rules and access to the Season 1, Cycle A cards. For now only the Tier 1 cards have been released apart from the two Tier 2 characters, Requiem and Captain Huntress.

Remember you can check out the demo rules on our Downloads page if you’re still not sure about trying to full rules of the game, but you only need to back the patreon to get access to the rules.

Facebook Live four way game

This evening at Harlequin Halls wargaming club at Blackwood we tried out Facebook Live during a four way game, check it out!

We have launched

We have officially launched on Patreon!

If you’ve liked our demo rules, or have been waiting for a look at the launch rules and cardset (of 80 cards including 32 weapons alone), head on over and back us to get access.

We recommend the $5 player level for newcomers, but would love to see veteran gamers jump aboard on the Playtester level to have a look at and test coming content (Feedback? Oh do we ever want feedback) and hope some of you will take the opportunity to join the Arena Council level and join us in the super secret (well, exclusive) group where we will discuss upcoming releases, post development content, and work on the future of the game.

We hope to have a “How to play” video up soon, in the meantime please try the Demo Rules and see what you think!
